Everything you need to know ahead of Homes for Dinner

Homes for Dinner is Homes First’s annual signature fundraising event, bringing together a community of supporters for an evening of connection and impact in support of housing, shelter, and support services across Toronto.

Homes for Dinner: The Next Chapter will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library.

The Toronto Reference Library is located at 789 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto, near the intersection of Yonge and Bloor.

Paid parking is available nearby, including lots on Asquith Avenue and Church Street. The venue is also easily accessible by public transit, located just steps from Bloor–Yonge Station.

Tickets are not available at the door. All tickets must be purchased in advance, and a final guest list is confirmed prior to the event

We are able to accept payment by cheque.

Please make cheques payable to Homes First Foundation and include Homes for Dinner in the memo line.

Your ticket includes access to the full event experience, including food stations, premium open bar, and the evening’s program.

Cocktail attire.

Guests of all ages are welcome. Alcohol will be served to guests 19+ with valid government-issued identification.

Yes. Guests will enjoy a curated selection of food stations throughout the evening, catered by TOBEN Food by Design.

We strive to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences. Our team will reach out in advance of the event to confirm any requirements.

Doors open at 7:00pm. Coat check will be available.

Event signage and staff will be available to guide you upon arrival.

Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another guest. Contact our team for more information.

The Homefull Draw offers guests the opportunity to win prizes while supporting Homes First.

Tickets for the Homefull Draw can be purchased during the event. Additional details will be shared closer to the event date.

Proceeds from Homes for Dinner directly support Homes First’s housing, shelter, and support programs for individuals experiencing homelessness in Toronto

Tax receipts are issued for eligible donations of $20 or more. While event tickets/sponsorship is not receiptable, any additional donation will qualify and directly support Homes First’s programs. A business receipt will be issued for all sponsorship levels.

Yes. Photography and videography will take place throughout the evening
