Creating Pathways to Stability Through Partnership

Alpha Resources has been a valued corporate partner of Homes First for several years. Their support spans frontline service delivery, employment pathways, and major fundraising initiatives, helping create meaningful, long-term impact for the people we serve.

A Longstanding Partnership

Alpha Resources plays an important role in supporting Homes First’s programs and operations. From agency staffing support to food delivery across our shelter network, their contributions help ensure residents receive consistent, compassionate care.
In addition to their frontline support, Alpha Resources has been a committed high-level sponsor of Homes for Dinner for more than three years helping drive critical fundraising and awareness.

pERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER SCHOLARSHIP

In partnership with Homes First, Alpha Resources launched the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Scholarship Program for Black/African-Canadian shelter residents, a transformative initiative centred on employment, equity, and long-term stability.

Program Overview

This six-month program is designed to equip participants with the skills, credentials, and support needed to pursue meaningful careers in healthcare.

Scholarship & Supports

Each participant receives:

  • $1,000 tuition grant (reducing total cost to $3,860)
  • A laptop for online learning
  • School supplies and backpack
  • A $50 gift card for meals and additional support

Participants also receive wraparound supports throughout their training and into employment, helping set them up for long-term success.

Real Outcomes

Through this program, Alpha Resources has done more than support training. They have also hired Homes First clients, creating critical first steps toward stable employment and long-term career growth.

Homes For Dinner

As a dedicated supporter of Homes for Dinner, Alpha Resources has played an integral role in the growth and success of Homes First’s signature fundraising event.
Their leadership and continued investment have expanded the event’s reach and impact, helping to advance critical housing and food security initiatives across Toronto and bring together a network of partners committed to lasting change.

Agency Support & Food Delivery

Alpha Resources continues to provide essential staffing support and meal delivery services across Homes First shelters.

These contributions strengthen day-to-day operations and help ensure residents receive the care, support, and nourishment they need.
