Willowdale Welcome Centre serves refugee claimants experiencing homelessness in Toronto. The site consists of two buildings – Building A and Building B, both buildings operate independently as a standalone shelter program. Building A serves 278 men (self-identified) and Building B serves 132 women (self-identified), respectively. The program is an emergency shelter program that provides temporary accommodation and related support services that assist residents to move into housing. The provided wrap-around services include: daily meals, laundry, recreational programming and case management supports. The shelter program is a closed referral programs, all referrals are coordinated through the City of Toronto.
