The Strathcona Hotel Shelter has a 105-co-ed singles and couple client capacity. The shelter opened in response to the growing pandemic-related need for emergency shelter, as well as to safely support all clients in a physically distanced, regulated manner, agency wide individuals must be 18+ years old to become a Homes First client at this site. All Homes First emergency shelters are equipped with our foundational, 1 on 1 Intensive Case Management (ICM) support services to assist in client stabilization. Additionally, the Strathcona Hotel Shelter has several programs available to clients, including an integrated meal program, harm reduction services, community engagement opportunities, as well as peer-support programs.
